Another new(ish) search engine has hit the market! heard this before?…
Well this one is different, it doesn’t try and mess with algorithms or claim to search 432 trillion pages, nor does it claim to be “the best search engine ever”, search.io or Search!0 as it seems to have been branded is a simple but effective search tool. Firstly it brakes down different search option into, news, images, search, jobs, lyrics and even torrents and many more, this makes it much easier to pinpoint exactly what you want
then it goes even further by giving you multiple tabs to choose from for each search, for instance if i search for “computer programmer” in jobs i get job listings in different tabs from Monster jobs, Yahoo jobs, Myspace jobs and a few more, so you can switch tabs to search the separate sites.
And if i want to search “seo” in the normal search box i get a choice of tabs to view the results from Google, Yahoo and all the other “big boys”
The great thing about Search.io is that it doesn’t try and mess with rankings or try and be the next google, it takes the information that we all use and packages it all in one place which.
The interface is clean and simple, there’s also a latest searches feature which in truth does need some work.
Theres alot of potential for these sorts of sites, people want as much information as quickly as possible and thats what this does, also very useful for SEO as it makes checking rankings across the search engines very easy.
