tshirtplug.com

by James Poole on August 18, 2008

Well seems like a good time to mention my “site plug monday” where every Monday il quickly review a site i like, il try and look out for new sites that have taken my eye.

First up! tshirtplug.com offers its readers a chance to send in a t-shirt promoting their site or business, its been done before www.shoemoney.com/free-shirt-friday/ but this is a nice new idea and with a bit of luck may have some staying power. Its a novel way of advertising something, ive seen people on Ebay advertising their body space so anything is possible! For the site to work it needs good content to get readers, that’s how Shoemoney’s shirt Friday works so well because he get alot of readers.

I have been thinking about getting a t shirt made as part of an offline marketing plan im currently experimenting with so this seems like a good time to do it.

Clickbank part 4 (PPC marketing)

by James Poole on August 11, 2008

Ok so still waiting for my articles to be approved with Ezine, it seems to be taking up to 7 days now which is a shame.

I am promoting 3 different products in 3 different niches, all gravity below 100 and targeting some low competition keywords with my PPC

As far as the PPC campaign had been going I’m getting some clicks but a shockingly low CTR of 0.21% across my 3 campaigns which is very worrying. I will give it a few more hours then change a few things.
I am turned off the content ads on my campaigns as i feel it is not targeted enough as i am looking for users to buy so i am trying to target buying keywords such as “cheap” and “buy xxx”

I have used the targeted ad placements on a few sites so my ads only show up on the sites i choose which hasn’t really had many clicks yet so il keep tracking that closely

Stats so far across 3 campaings for 3 seperate products
Clicks-48 CTR-0.28%  Ave CPC-£.11 OR $.21

So not the greatest stats but only just started.

I am using a landing page for 1 of my campaings and redirecting through my hop link on 2 others, mainly because im not to good with graphics and secondly because i think it takes to many clicks for the user to buy.
I read somewhere that users will only click on average 3 times before they move on and getting rid of 1 extra click may help me.

NO SALES! As yet and a total 54 hops, would love a ale before 100 hops.

Getting started with Clickbank

by James Poole on August 6, 2008

Getting started with Clickbank is a whole lot easier than expected. Whether you have a web site or not with Clickbank you can start making a substantial online income at home at any given time. Entire businesses are formed around promoting Clickbank products, with many never even needing to develop their own product.

Clickbank is an affiliate marketplace. It sells only digital products such as, e-books, online training courses, and software. Products are sold by affiliates and supplied by publishers. An affiliate officially completes a sale when he sends a visitor to the publisher’s sales page and the visitor purchases the product. The affiliate then receives a pre-determined commission on the sale.

Affiliates are paid by Clickbank twice a month. They have the option to be paid via check or by direct deposit. It is possible to set payment thresholds so you are not paid until your account reaches a certain balance.
To get started, the first step you need to take is to register with Clickbank. Registration is completely free; all you need is a fully functional email address. Once you register and confirm your account, all you have to do is choose a product to promote.

In order to promote your products or landing pages, you can choose either one or a number of traffic generation methods. Article marketing or “Bum” marketing is one of the fastest and most popular ways to begin driving traffic and making a substantial income online.

Another way to jump start your Clickbank success is with a blog. You can create a free blog at numerous web sites and use each post to promote your chosen product. Blogs are high quality because they are indexed by the search engines quickly and are easy to develop.

As you can see Clickbank is one of the fastest ways to get started in a web business. The digital nature of all its products allows you to receive high commissions and make much more money than with physical products. All it takes is a verified email address and a few simple writing skills.

If you publish your own digital products then you can also sell your products through Clickbak with thousands of affiliates waiting to sell your product.
So if you have written a great ebook or have a great digital idea sign up to clickbank
